“…he who is joined to the Lord is one Spirit with Him”- 1 Corinthians 6:17
From time to time as we walk with God, the devil tries to play a fast one on many people by making them think that their relationship with God isn’t reliable. But you see, no matter how the devil tries, he cannot change certain truths about our ties with God. The day you gave your life to Christ, you became a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), superior to the devil and at one with God. In 1 Corinthians 6:17, the Bible clearly declares that “…he who is joined to the Lord is one Spirit with Him” which means your spirit is joined with God inseparably. You have become spiritually one with Him and therefore all that exists in God now exists in you. His very nature, health, image and likeness resides in you.
From this, you discover that it is impossible for the devil to afflict or oppress you because the spiritual environment that covers you cannot accommodate the devil in any way. In fact the devil cannot function there because that’s where God lives; it is far beyond his jurisdiction. So as a child of God, your responsibility is to take advantage of your relationship with God and reign in life. Do not allow the devil to breathe thoughts into you. Upgrade your life with this knowledge and live in this reality. No matter what comes your way, refuse to be moved. Nothing can change your relationship with God. You are joined with Him and that is final.

I am joined together with Christ; therefore I am one with Him. Nothing can afflict nor oppress me because greater is He that is in me than he that is the world. I reign and rule in my world, I am in charge of any situation that comes my way because I am joined with the Lord. Hallelujah
