You Are Not Alone In The Fire

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. —Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV)

Most times, when people find themselves in a difficult situation, they feel it is because God has left them. They assume the presence of a trial must mean the absence of the Father. However, the truth is that the challenges you face do not mean God has abandoned you. Do not allow the enemy to make you believe that lie.

I often say that no matter what you go through in life, you must refuse the thought that God has left your side. The Scriptures say otherwise. In our opening text, the Bible promises that when you pass through the waters and walk through the fire, He will be with you. This means that no matter the situation you find yourself in, God is present, and His presence is the proof that you will surely emerge from that situation when the time comes.

All that is required of you is to maintain your stand in God. Keep your faith alive and continue steadily in the path of righteousness. Refuse to compromise or give in to the pressures of the enemy. It is vital that you refuse to utter the words of defeat that the enemy wants you to speak.

Be like Job, who refused to curse God or charge Him with wrong despite his immense suffering. In the end, he received double for all he had lost. Be like Joseph, who walked in the fear of the Lord and maintained his righteousness through every trial. Even while he was in prison, the Bible records a powerful truth that we must all hold onto.

But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. —Genesis 39:21 (NKJV)

I admonish you today to live your life in the constant consciousness of this truth. Know that God is with you in the midst of your current situation. Because He is with you, victory is already yours in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Today’s Rhema

Prayer

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for being with me and in me. Thank you for giving me the victory in Christ Jesus. Henceforth, I refuse to believe the lie of the devil and choose to put my trust in Your promises, because I know that no matter what I go through, You are with me. Amen!
