And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. – 1 Corinthians 15:45 (NKJV)
Christianity is not merely a religion; it is a relationship with God the Father, the author of life. This divine life empowers us to impart life to anything in our world. In our opening scripture, the Bible reveals that the first man, Adam, became a living being, but the last Adam, Jesus Christ, became a life-giving spirit.
The significance of this is profound. Those of us who are in Christ Jesus have also become like Him, for the Bible says, “As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.” – 1 Corinthians 15:48-49. Furthermore, “As He is, so are we in this world.” – 1 John 4:17. This means we have received the same life that was in Christ. Our Lord Jesus is a life-giver, and so are we. But the question is: what do we do with this gift? How does it benefit us? We must recognize its value and make it part of our consciousness.
As believers in Christ, we are carriers of divine life. We bring life to people and situations. It does not matter how long death has lingered in someone’s life or in a particular place—when we arrive, life manifests, and death is driven out. This might sound too good to be true, but it is a simple, powerful truth. This reality must become a foundational understanding in our walk with God because it defines who we are in Christ. Embrace this truth, allow it to shape your perspective, and you will see death lose its grip wherever you go. Hallelujah!
