“…And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up….”James 5:15 (NKJV)

One of the more common statements from many believers today is “I prayed but nothing happened.” For many years this statement troubled me because what I know about prayer is that it works. It has worked for me again and again and so when I see people who say it didn’t work, I begin to wonder why.

As I pondered on it, the Holy Spirit gave me the answer. He said if they didn’t get an answer to their prayers or if nothing worked, it was because of where they were praying from. They were not praying from a place of faith. I was shocked to hear it because I never thought of that. The Holy Spirit  went on to say that the place from which the prayers of the saints emanate, goes  a long way to determine the impact of their prayers. He said many today are praying from a place of doubt and unbelief. Many others are praying from a place of fear and anxiety. While others are praying from a place of complaint, bitterness, jealousy and hopelessness. He said you can’t pray like this and get results or change things because the force field of faith is not available to generate the power and grace needed to make things happen.

So, the question is, where have you been praying from all these years? Has it been from a place of faith or fear? Remember, if your prayers have been from a place of faith it will show because faith always produces results. The Bible says in our opening text, that “the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven…”James 5:15 (NKJV). Did you see that? If a prayer is done from a place of faith, it is bound to make things happen. Therefore, the next time you want to pray, make a conscious decision to pray from a place of faith and not doubt or fear and trust me, you will see the power of God move in such a way that you have never imagined. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

If your prayer comes from a place of faith, it will surely produce results!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Father, I am grateful to You for opening my eyes to the reality of this truth. I choose this day to pray from a place of faith and not doubt. And as I do this, results abound in my life in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
