“So the Lord said to him, ‘What is that in your hand?’ He said, ‘A rod.’ And He said, ‘Cast it on the ground.’ So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it… And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.” – Exodus 4:2-3,17 (NKJV)
In this passage, God asked Moses what he had in his hand. Moses had only a rod—just an ordinary staff. But when God got involved, that rod became a tool for signs and wonders, transforming into the rod of God for manifesting His power. What Moses held, though simple, became the vessel through which God performed mighty acts.
Today, God still works in similar ways. He brings out greatness from what seems insignificant, using ordinary things for extraordinary purposes. God asks us the same question He asked Moses: “What is in your hand?” Whatever you have can become the instrument through which God displays His power and touches lives.
As Christians, we are not empty or powerless. God is willing and ready to work through us, but He requires us to offer Him something. What you give Him—your time in prayer, your acts of faith, your offerings—becomes the means by which He moves. It doesn’t have to be much, but it does have to be given in faith. So, what do you have that God can use? Don’t say you have nothing, because everyone has something that can be used for God’s glory. Praise God!

Confession for the Day
Dear Father! Use me and everything I have to bring positive change to my life and to those You have sent me to. Let the things I possess become instruments of Your power, so that everyone around me may experience the wonders You perform through what I offer. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
