“…for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life…” 2 Corinthians 3:6 (NKJV)
One of the challenges many of God’s people face when they study the word of God is that they stop with the letter alone. They study God’s word quite alright but when they do, they just breeze through the scriptures and close it. In most cases they never understand what they read and they never meditate on it. So the story of their lives remains the same, because they have not seen what they are supposed to see in the scriptures. And truly, this is where many people are. When nothing seems to be changing in their lives they start going from church to church looking for where they can get an immediate miracle. Unknown to them that miracles don’t come by jumping up and down. Miracles come by understanding God’s word and receiving the revelation that is needed to help them win in the condition they find themselves. So they get to a point where they are frustrated, because they have gone everywhere and nothing seems to be working.
However, this shouldn’t be your case, make a conscious decision to go for revelation of God’s word. When you understand God’s word, you will not struggle to get results. Your revelation of God’s word is your key out of that challenge. Therefore, look beyond the letters and go for revelation because that is what you need the most. Our Lord Jesus said, “…when anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart…” But “…he who hears the word and understands it…bears fruit and produces; some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty…” Matthew 13:19, 23 (NKJV). Did you see that? This lets us know that the results of our lives as Christians is attached to our revelation of God’s word. So go for revelation and watch your life move from Glory to Glory. Praise God!
Today’s Rhema
The transformational power of God’s word lies in the revelation behind the letters, not the letter itself, so go for revelation!
