Very early the next morning, long before daylight, Jesus got up and left the house. He went out of town to a lonely place, where he prayed. —Mark 1:35 (GNT).
As a believer, the training you give yourself matters — it shapes your possibilities, your exploits, and your experience of God. One essential training is to cultivate the discipline of spending time with Jesus. When you deliberately camp in His presence for hours or days, you position yourself to receive impartation that makes you stand out among your peers.
Sadly, many people today have a low tolerance for spiritual discipline. They check the clock in church and lose focus after ten minutes of Bible study. Social media and shrinking attention spans haven’t helped; they make deep, sustained fellowship with God feel difficult and tedious. As a result, many grow impatient with spiritual things even though they can concentrate for hours on secular activities.
In the opening text we see people who stayed with Jesus for three days and forgot to eat. Their passion and persistence produced miracles: the lame walked, the blind saw, and many were healed. Why? They camped with Jesus and remained in His presence long enough for His power to manifest.
If you want to see great and mighty miracles in your life — if you want the impossible to become possible, and for your life to be a compendium of testimonies — make a conscious decision to spend time with Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Commit to regular, focused seasons of fellowship; you won’t spend the time in vain. Praise God!

Confession for the Day
Thank You, Father, for Your Word. I receive grace today to spend more time with You, and as I do, testimonies abound in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
