“She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus—because he will save his people from their sins.” —Matthew 1:21 (GNT)

When the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph to explain what was happening with his wife, Mary, the angel said, “She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus—because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21, GNT). True to His word, Jesus came to this world, paid the ultimate price for sin, and became the way through which salvation is obtained.

Today, salvation is made possible through Jesus. Anyone who believes in His finished work and receives Him into their life receives the gift of salvation. Therefore, as you celebrate Christmas this season, you must understand that you are celebrating the gift of salvation. Because you have this gift, eternity with God is sure; for it is written that those who believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Celebrate with this consciousness, knowing that your eternity is secured.

The devil might want to make you think otherwise, as that is what he does best, but you must refuse to believe his lies. Jesus was the solution to the problem that plagued the world. When He came, He paid with His life a debt that should have been paid by us. He went to the cross of Calvary for you and me.

He endured the hardship and the suffering that should have come to us, taking our place so that we could take His. Do you believe this? You should, because this is the reality of the Gospel. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

Jesus took our place in death and gave us life in abundance!

Confession for the Day

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for giving me the gift of salvation through Jesus. I will continue to live in the reality of this truth, and through this revelation, I am bringing many to the knowledge of the truth, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
