“…if the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the death will also give life to your mortal bodies by the presence of His Spirit in you…” Romans 8:11 (GNT)
The opening text reveals an important truth about the Spirit of God. The Bible says His presence within our bodies grants us life. In other words, as long as the Spirit of God resides in you, healing and divine health are assured. Why is this so? Because the same presence that raised our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead dwells within you. Since our Lord Jesus Christ conquered both spiritual and physical death through resurrection, your mortal bodies will surely be revitalized by the same Spirit.
However, to claim this reality, you must consciously choose to live aware of this truth. Sadly, many of God’s people are unaware of this truth. When affliction threatens their lives, instead of activating this truth, they begin making negative confessions because they don’t understand that God has already provided for their healing in Christ Jesus.
This should not be the case for you. Instead, you should lay hold of this wonderful truth and personalize it in your life. When affliction threatens to frustrate your life or put fear in your heart, declare over your life that the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is bringing life to your body. As you continue this declaration in boldness and faith, the healing power of God will be released and that affliction will disappear.
Therefore, the next time you feel that symptom in your body or are attacked by any kind of affliction, remember that you have the Spirit of God in you and His presence in your life brings life and healing to you. One might question, “But what if I make this declaration and it doesn’t work, what should I do?”
Well, it is simple. You must understand that God does not lie. If His word has told us that the presence of His Spirit gives us life, then it is final. Your responsibility is to believe it and capitalize on it. When you are truly convinced about this provision that we have in Christ Jesus, you will continue to make that declaration until your body aligns to the truth of God’s word. Hallelujah!
