“that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith…”Galatians 3:14 (NKJV)

Beloved, there was a secret behind Abraham’s blessings — ardent, unwavering faith in God. Many sing about Abraham’s blessings, yet they miss the principle that provoked those blessings: his stubborn faith. You too can enjoy these blessings by putting faith into action.

Being in Christ qualifies you for Abraham’s blessings, but walking in their reality requires faith. Abraham believed God’s promise against all hope. “Against hope he believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations…”Romans 4:18 (KJV). Even at one hundred years old, he did not consider the deadness of Sarah’s womb. “He did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what He had promised He was able to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness…”Romans 4:20–22 (NKJV). Abraham’s faith was active, persistent, and resolute.

Many desire Abraham’s blessings but hesitate to hold on like he did. They falter when circumstances look impossible. But if you want to walk in Abraham’s blessings, unleash your faith with the same determination. Believe in hope against hope, stand firm on God’s promises, and the blessings of Abraham will flow to you in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
