Mann springt über Abgrund.

“…but let him ask in faith with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways…” —James 1:6-7 (NKJV)

One of the major tools that the devil is using to fight believers today is doubt or double-mindedness. Unfortunately, many believers fall prey to this very weapon of the devil because of the challenges that they face. So, doubt lingers in their hearts. In most cases, they find themselves wondering if the word of God is effective. The enemy pushes them to that point where they begin to think and say things like, “if truly the word works, why did such and such happen to me?”; “If the word is working, why am I in this situation”. They say these things because they are no longer in the place of faith but doubt. They want to believe the word, but their present situation is not helping them to believe that the word truly works.

So they end up in  doubt, which continues to eat them up. You may see them committedly serving at church, but they don’t really believe anything that is being taught. For them, church has become a religious routine. When prophecies are declared in church, they just look at the pastor as though he is wasting his time, but the question is, are they right? Certainly not! They are only dancing to the tune of the devil because that is what he wants. The devil knows that if he can get a Christian to start shaking in his faith, that Christian cannot receive anything from the Lord. So he stirs up situations to bring doubt into their lives.

But today, I am sharing this article with you because God wants you to be aware of this trick of the devil and refuse to be in doubt or double minded. Make a conscious decision to avoid anything that will cause you to walk in doubt, because it is a place where your faith is no longer in the living God but in the works of the devil or the challenges you face. You must fight to keep your faith in God. Remember, God has said to us, “…the just shall live faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him…” Hebrews 10:38 (NKJV) You certainly do not want to be in a place where God is not pleased with you, so do the needful and fight to keep your faith in God at all times.

Today’s Rhema

If you do not deliberately fight to keep your faith in God, you will surely walk in doubt, and this is not God’s plan for you!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for your love and mercy, I am grateful for this wonderful article you have brought to me today. I declare that every seed of doubt that the enemy has sown in me is uprooted and my faith is alive in the name of Jesus. Amen!
