“…all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “you shall love your neighbor as yourself…” –Galatians 5:14 (NKJV)

I have often heard people say that the Ten Commandments no longer exist because our Lord Jesus Christ has paid the price for us. But the truth is that that is not correct. The fact that our Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for us does not mean the Ten Commandments are abolished. They still do exist but not as ten but in one word. The Bible says in our opening text that “…all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “you shall love your neighbor as yourself…” –Galatians 5:14 (NKJV). If you love your neighbor, you will not steal from him. If you love your neighbor, you will not commit murder or be covetous. So, make a conscious decision to work on your love towards your neighbor because, if you can work on this, you will walk in the path that God wants you to walk in as a Christian. The big question is, who is your neighbor? Is it a Christian like you, or an unbeliever? Most people often think that their neighbor is a Christian like them. But the truth remains that your neighbor is not just a Christian, but a Muslim, a pagan and people from the other faith as well.

If you can love them, you have fulfilled the expectations of the father. Interestingly, loving them is the only way you can help them discover their eternal destinies in Christ Jesus. So I encourage you this day, to walk in the consciousness of this truth. Love your neighbor as yourself. When you do, you won’t hurt them or do anything against them that will destroy their lives or bring them pain. Remember, when our Lord Jesus Christ came to die for us, He didn’t die for Christians, or Muslims, rather He died for the whole world (John 3:16) because of His love for mankind. You have a responsibility to love like Jesus Christ did, because, “the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Romans 5:5). So my prayer for you today is that, “your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God…”Philippians 1:9-11 (NKJV)

TODAY’S RHEMA

You have a responsibility to love like Jesus Christ did!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Thank you heavenly father for pouring out your love in my heart in great measures. I choose this day to love like Jesus did and by the power of the Holy Ghost, I will not be involved in anything that will hurt my neighbor in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
