“And the inhabitant will not say, ‘I am sick’…” – Isaiah 33:24 (NKJV)

When you accept Jesus as the Lord of your life, you enter a kingdom called Zion, the city of the living God. As Christians, we dwell in this kingdom now. This kingdom is as real as the physical world you can see, and it operates with its own principles, language, and regulations. One of these is that in this kingdom, we do not get sick, and we do not say, “I am sick.” The reason is that in this kingdom, we have received eternal life, and eternal life cannot be afflicted. So, no matter what happens to your health, you do not confess sickness because acknowledging it means accepting it as your reality. God wants you to stand on His Word and live in the consciousness of what He has made available to you. Unfortunately, not many live with this reality today.

When most people experience any kind of symptom in their body, they immediately describe how they feel and often use it as an excuse to rest all day. Some rush to the hospital to find out what’s happening, and when the test results come back, they accept them as the final reality. If the reports are bad, they succumb to fear and begin living in anxiety, which is not the life God has called us to live. You must understand that God’s Word is not a suggestion; it is an instruction. Just because you feel pain in your body doesn’t mean you are sick. What you are feeling are symptoms, and the devil wants you to acknowledge those symptoms so they can turn into sickness.

You must come to a point where you draw the line. You have to decide who will be in charge—yourself or the symptoms. When you are in charge, you don’t acknowledge the symptoms; instead, you speak God’s Word over your body. Do not use your mouth to say, “I am sick,” because when you do, you empower that confession. Learn to stay calm and apply God’s Word. Refuse to speak based on how you feel; instead, declare what you want to feel. Don’t be quick to accept that something is wrong with your body. Use your words, through God’s Word, to take charge of your health. Maintain your confession of sound health because that is what God expects from you. And remember, when you make these declarations, don’t do it to convince yourself—do it because this is what you know to be true. When you stand your ground, those symptoms will leave you in no time. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I thank You for giving me eternal life. I cannot be sick, and I refuse to be sick. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I am an overcomer, and I prophesy that any sickness that comes in contact with my body dies on contact in the name of Jesus. Amen!
