“…If the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, lives in you, then he who raised Christ from death will also give life to your mortal bodies by the presence of his Spirit in you.” – Romans 8:11 (GNT)
Building on the first part of this teaching, it is vital to understand and embrace the role of the Holy Spirit in maintaining your health. As highlighted in the scripture, your health is secured through His presence in your life. The Bible assures us, “…If the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, lives in you, then he who raised Christ from death will also give life to your mortal bodies by the presence of his Spirit in you.” – Romans 8:11 (GNT). Another translation emphasizes, “…if the Ruach of the One who raised Yeshua from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised Messiah Yeshua from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Ruach who dwells in you.” – Romans 8:11 (TLV).
This is profound. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the source of life and vitality for your mortal body. Your responsibility is to believe this truth and learn how to activate the Holy Spirit’s life-giving power in your life.
Now, how do you activate the life-giving ability of the Holy Spirit in your life? First, you must believe in Him. Recognize Him as the Spirit of God who dwells in you. Your faith in His presence is foundational. Secondly, acknowledge His ministry in your life. Every day, learn to declare and say, “Spirit of the living God, I know You are in me to carry out Your ministry. Part of that ministry is to sustain me in divine health. I yield myself to You to work fully in my life.”. As simple as these words may sound, they do something in you. The Holy Spirit responds to such words.
Another way to activate this ability is through fasting and praying in tongues. Fasting allows the Holy Spirit to gain ascendancy in your life, and praying in tongues stirs up His life-giving abilities. When you do this, His power begins to flow through your body, uprooting afflictions and restoring your health.
If you diligently follow these steps, you’ll experience a life where sickness is far from you. The system of the Holy Spirit within you will continually overpower any attempt by the enemy to afflict your body. So, live in this truth, do your part, and trust the Holy Spirit to do His. Hallelujah!

Father, I thank you for opening my eyes to this life-changing truth. I choose to yield myself daily to the ministry of the Holy Spirit and as I fast and pray in tongues often, sickness and disease shall be far from me in the name of Jesus. Amen!
