The wealth you get by dishonesty will do you no good, but honesty can save your life. —Proverbs 10:2 (GNT)

We are living in a world where many people only want to make money and don’t care how it comes. They are indifferent to whether someone gets hurt in the process; they just want the money, and that’s all that matters to them. This practice has destroyed countless lives and sent many to an untimely death. The question is, is this what God wants from us? The answer is a big no.

Beloved, as much as it is good to make money so that you can live comfortably and have enough to help others, you must understand the means by which you get it. Earning a living dishonestly should not be an option, as it will bring you more trouble than the comfort you were looking for. As our opening text says, “The wealth you get by dishonesty will do you no good, but honesty can save your life” (Proverbs 10:2, GNT).

So, as you continue in your Christian walk, be mindful of this. God is not against you making money, but He is against you making money in a dishonest way. Remember, the Bible says, “Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase” (Proverbs 13:11, NKJV). Therefore, I encourage you today to make money honestly and avoid any means that are detrimental to your life or the lives of others.

Today’s Rhema

God is not against you making money, but He is against you making money in a dishonest way!

Confession for the Day

Thank you, Father, for reminding me of this wonderful truth. I choose this day to make money in an honest way, and as I do this, I am blessed in all I do, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
