“…but if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you…” Romans 8:11 (NKJV)

Now that we have established the truth about having the same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead, someone may ask, How do I activate the workings of this Spirit in my life so that I can stay healthy and experience only life and not death in all that concerns me? Well, first, you need to believe and acknowledge His presence in your life. Most times, when people hear these things about the indwelling presence of the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, they always think it is too good to be true. But the truth remains that, that is the reality on the ground, and we believe it because the Bible said so. It is your responsibility to believe this truth and always acknowledge His presence in your life.

Secondly, always meditate on the Spirit of God and His work in your life. Meditation is very important because this is what will help you truly understand the ministry He came to fulfill in your life and opens you up to benefit from that ministry. Most people hear about these things, but they don’t ponder on them long enough. They only have a surface knowledge of it, and so it does not change anything in their lives because it has not become a deep revelation or a present-hour reality to them. However, you can be different. Meditate on the ministry of the Spirit of God and on that particular purpose that He has come to fulfill in your life, and you will activate the life-giving aspect of the Holy Spirit in your life. Thirdly, learn to stir up the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. And the way to do that is through the word of God and praying in tongues often. These two activities are a powerful combo that stirs up the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in your life. When you engage in these activities deliberately and often, you will always experience the manifested presence of God. Remember, it is the manifested presence of God that brings life and liberty. So, engage in these few things we have listed out, and you will enjoy this very benefit that we have in Christ Jesus. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

I believe that the Spirit of God dwells in me, I believe He is a life-giving Spirit and I believe that He dwells in me. Therefore, I decree that He is giving life to my mortal body and kicking out death and all its manifestations from my body in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
