“…if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours be done.” — Luke 22:42 (NKJV)

Have you ever found yourself in situations where all you can say to the Lord is, “Father, let this cup pass over me”? Have you reached a point in your life where you keep asking, “When will this cup pass?” If you have experienced or are currently going through something like that, know that you are not alone. Everyone goes through such moments. Even our Lord Jesus Christ reached that point. He knelt down and prayed, saying, “…if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42 NKJV). This was when He was about to pay the ultimate price on the cross. He saw His impending death and knew what was coming, but He went through with it because that was His mission. Though He had the option to turn away from it, He understood that this was His purpose. So, He prayed, “…if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42 NKJV).

The Bible records that “…being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground” (Luke 22:44 NKJV). Even in His agony, He didn’t give up or complain but faced the situation and allowed God’s plan to unfold. In the end, He got the victory.

Beloved, no matter what you are facing in life, know that this cup will surely pass over. If you endure until the end, you will emerge victorious. So, refuse to give in or give up. Instead, ask God for strength and wisdom to navigate through your challenges. When you do this, grace will be granted to you, and you will come out victorious. This was the case with our Lord Jesus Christ. He endured till the end, and when everything was finished, He didn’t just emerge victorious—He was given a name above every name (Philippians 2:9).

My prayer for you is that as you endure in your situation, you will emerge a victor and be given a special grace to dominate and reign in life. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

He who endures hardship till the end will emerge a victor and be given a special grace.

Confession for the Day

Thank You, Father, for this wonderful truth You have brought to me today. I am encouraged and fired up to endure till the end. As I do, victory is mine, favor is mine, and blessings are mine in Jesus’ name. Amen!
