“…if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but yours be done…” —Luke 22:42 (NKJV)

Having established the importance of holding on to God in times of difficulty, you must understand that no matter what you face in life, that cup will surely pass. Sometimes the situation might seem tough, like you will never come out of it, but believe me, that cup will certainly pass. It is only a matter of time. You must always remember that God has you covered. Just when the pressure in any situation increases, be expectant because the miracle of God is about to manifest. So you must choose to hold on and fight it out. Refuse to quit or chicken out. Maintain your ground and go to God in prayer.

When Jesus Christ was at this point in His life, He took time to pray. The Bible specifically says that He prayed earnestly, and “an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him…” (Luke 22:43 (NKJV) You too can receive strength in your time of trial if you will only pray and be patient. You must understand that there are situations that have to play out so that God’s plan can be fulfilled in your life. A woman in labor does not pray for the labor to go away; she only prays for the child to come out, because when the child is out, the labor also comes to an end.

So I admonish you today to stay strong and aim for the delivery, because that is what will bring an end to the labor. No matter how long the situation has lingered, know that, if you continue in prayer, believing God for your delivery, the cup will certainly pass over. God bless you!

Today’s Rhema

A woman in labor does not pray for the labor to go away; she only prays for the child to come out, because when the child is out, the labor also comes to an end.

Confession for the Day

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for these great words of encouragement. I thank you for reminding me that every situation has an end. On the basis of this, I receive strength to continue in prayer; and I declare that I conquer every situation that comes my way and that I win in all things because greater is He that is in Me than He that is in the world. Hallelujah!
