“In spite of everything that had happened, Job did not sin by blaming God.” (Job 1:22 GNT)
One of the things the devil loves to make people do is to get them to blame God for the situations and challenges they find themselves in. Many have used this as an excuse to stop attending church or having anything to do with God. But the question is, is that the right thing to do? The answer is a resounding No.
As a child of God, no matter what you face or go through in life, you must never blame God or reach the point where you decide to distance yourself from Him and all that concerns Him. Remember, harboring bitterness or resentment towards anyone is already detrimental. Directing such feelings towards God will do you no good at all. So, no matter what the issue may be, never allow yourself to start blaming God for your predicament.
You must understand that a relationship with God is a two-way street. You have a role to play, and God has His role to play in your life. The good news is that God has already fulfilled His primary role concerning your salvation and provision. He has already sent Jesus Christ to die for you and pay the ultimate price. The Apostle Peter tells us, “God’s divine power has given us everything we need to live a truly religious life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his glory and goodness…” (2 Peter 1:3 GNT).
Did you see that? We have received all that is required to live a glorious life. But now, you have to do your part by understanding what God has given you and learning how to activate it in your life. If you lack the required understanding, ask God to give you insight and show you what steps to take. Everything you are truly seeking from Him is already available; you only need to learn how to unlock and appropriate these provisions.
Therefore, I encourage you today to never blame God for your circumstances. Instead, discover what He has made available to you in Christ Jesus and diligently activate those provisions in your life. Whatever needs to be done now is not on God’s end, because He has already completed His foundational part. You need to take responsibility and activate what He has made available for you. Hallelujah!
