“…but if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness…”- Romans 8:10 (NIV)
Having understood in the first part of this article the role that the gift of righteousness plays in you, it is important to understand that, a major role which it plays in your life is to ensure that sickness or disease does not thrive in your body. I know this might sound too good to be true but it is the truth. Truth is not what we think it is but what God says it is and if God says sickness cannot thrive in our body because of the gift of righteousness, then that is what it is. I want you to understand this; sickness had legal grounds in our lives then because the law of sin and death was at work but today in Christ Jesus, the Bible lets us know that “…the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us (Christians) free from the law of sin and death…” Romans 8:2 (NKJV).
Jesus Christ did not only come to abolish the law (Ephesians 2:15), He came to fulfill the law. The Bible declares that the soul that sin shall die (Ezekiel 18:20a) because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Jesus Christ who was made sin (2 Corinthians 5:21) for us, died and when He died we died in Him. “…He condemned sin in the flesh that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us…” Romans 8:3-4. Today, we can no longer be sick because righteousness is at work in us. Therefore, take advantage of this truth today and live in the reality of it. Whenever you notice any symptoms in your body, boldly declare and say that sickness cannot thrive in your body because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is at work in you. When you live every day of your life with the consciousness of this truth, it is just not possible for sickness to thrive in your body. Remember, I didn’t say you may not fall sick because it could happen. However, when it does happen, it will not thrive in your body because of the gift of righteousness which has been given to you in Christ Jesus. Praise God!

Our body receives life because the gift of righteousness is at work in us!
Confession for the Day
Father I thank you for the gift of righteousness which you have given to me in Christ Jesus, I thank you for this nature of yours that has been imparted into my spirit. I declare that through this gift I am reigning in life and by the power of your Spirit, sickness will not thrive in my body because I do not have in me the nature to be sick or be disadvantaged.
