Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18 NKJV)

As a child of God, it’s crucial to learn how to stir your spirit to align with the frequency of God’s Spirit. The Holy Spirit was sent to fulfill a purpose in your life, and He is always speaking. However, to hear His voice and be guided by Him, you must tune your heart to His presence. In the days of Elisha, the Spirit of God would come and go, so Elisha relied on a minstrel to help him hear. But today, the Spirit of God lives within you. You don’t need external forces to stir your spirit—you can stir yourself from within.

The Bible says, Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18 NKJV). In other words, be continually stirred in your spirit by the Holy Spirit. But how? Here are three practical steps:

  1. Recognize the Presence of the Holy Spirit: Understand that the Holy Spirit doesn’t just visit you—He lives in you. You are His temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). When you acknowledge His presence, it becomes easier to flow with His guidance and hear His voice.
  1. Fellowship with the Word of God: Dedicate time to personal Bible study, allowing the Word to teach and transform you. Additionally, attend church meetings where the Word is shared. The more you hear, the more your spirit is enlightened (Psalm 119:130), and the more familiar you become with the Holy Spirit. Beyond hearing, share the Word with other believers—this is also spiritually profitable.
  1. Engage in Spiritual Songs and Tongues: Sing spiritual songs and make melody in your heart. This stirs your spirit and prepares you for great exploits with the Holy Spirit. Also, speak and sing in tongues often. This spiritual language edifies and strengthens you (1 Corinthians 14:4). When you’re charged up by the Spirit, nothing is impossible. Hallelujah!

So, be encouraged today. Stir your spirit rightly and walk closely with the Holy Spirit. Stay filled with Him, and you’ll find that nothing is impossible for you.

Today’s Rhema

The Spirit of God came to fulfill a purpose in your life. Stir your spirit rightly to take full advantage of His presence and power!

Confession for the Day

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for blessing me with Your Word. I am stirred on the inside. As I walk with You, I will be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. When He speaks, I will hear, and when I hear, I will obey, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
