“Jesus left that place and went to a synagogue, where there was a man who had a paralyzed hand. Some people were there who wanted to accuse Jesus of doing wrong, so they asked him, ‘Is it against our Law to heal on the Sabbath?’” Matthew 12:9-10 (GNT)

Previously, we discussed the importance of turning to God in times of difficulty. You need to understand that this is the right course of action whenever you find yourself in a difficult situation.

Staying away from God or church activities during difficulties is not from God; it’s of the devil. The devil wants you isolated because he knows that isolation is when he can strike and destroy you. Therefore, you must resist the devil’s desires. The more isolated you feel, the more you should run to God. In His presence, you will find much more than just a solution.

Our opening text tells the story of a paralyzed man who still chose to be present at the synagogue to hear God’s word. Fortunately for him, he received healing that day.

One reason to keep seeking God regardless of your situation is that He always comes through for us. But the question is, are you willing to wait patiently with God until your solution appears? This is where many believers have faltered.

As a believer, you must understand that we don’t serve God for miracles; we serve Him because He is our Father and we love Him. He is the reason for our existence, and therefore, our worship cannot be denied Him. When we remain faithful to Him with consistent faith, miracles become the order of the day.

Therefore, I encourage you to take this seriously and never take actions that will deprive God of your worship. Refuse to listen to the voice that tells you to stop going to church because of your situation. Instead, rebuke that voice and silence it with your affirmation of faith in God. When you do this, you will begin to experience God on a whole new level. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for encouraging me with your word, I choose this day to remain faithful and loyal to you no matter what. I choose to give you the praises and the worship that you deserve because you are my God and my life. Hallelujah!
