Still, Be in Church Even Though Things Are Tough (1)

Worship Service during Praise Chapel Orange County Conference.

“Jesus left that place and went to a synagogue, where there was a man who had a paralyzed hand. Some people were there who wanted to accuse Jesus of doing wrong, so they asked him, “Is it against our Law to heal on the Sabbath?” Matthew 12:9-10 (GNT)

Many of God’s people follow a pattern: they are joyful and attend church when things are going well, but when difficulties arise, they stop coming and make excuses for their absence. No matter how you encourage them to return and worship God as He deserves, they resist, believing somewhere deep down that God is to blame. They silently hold God accountable for their challenges.  But are they right? Absolutely not. This is unfortunately a lie many of God’s children believe, thanks to the devil’s influence.

Beloved, if you truly desire to overcome any situation, your responsibility is to turn to God, not away from Him. Regardless of the circumstances, never hold God responsible. Instead, take responsibility and ask for His mercy. The Bible assures us in James 1:13 (GNT): “… If we are tempted by such trials, we must not say, ‘This temptation comes from God.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he tempts no one…” See this? So, the next time you face challenges, run to God, not away. Only in His presence will you find the grace to overcome them. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you want to find grace to come out of any situation, run to God and not away from God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for opening my eyes to this truth today. I choose to run to you both in good and in bad times and as I do this, I receive mercy and grace to come out of any situation in Jesus name. Amen!
