“My commandment is this: love one another, just as I love you. The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them.” (John 15:12-13 GNT)
The Christmas season is here again, and the atmosphere is filled with joy and celebration. While celebrating is wonderful, it’s essential to remember how God wants us to honor this season—by spreading the love of Christ. Christmas is more than decorations and festivities; it is an opportunity to reflect God’s love, revealed to us through the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Sadly, many people are unaware of God’s love. Some years ago, I met someone who didn’t know that God loved him. He shared how, for years, he had always perceived God as angry and ready to punish. He had no idea that God’s nature is love. As I began to share with him about the depth of God’s love, he was astonished—it was a revelation he had never encountered before.
Unfortunately, many people still feel the same way. They do not know the extent of God’s love or understand the great lengths He has gone for them. This is why we, as believers, have a responsibility to use this season to reflect and spread His love. Christmas should be a time when the love of God, already poured into our hearts (Romans 5:5), overflows to those around us.
Let this season be marked by acts of kindness and words of encouragement. Share what you have with those in need. If there are people around you who are hungry or in need of assistance, be willing to help. Beyond material things, share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with those who may not yet know Him. Let your life be a testimony of God’s love, bringing hope and light to others. Hallelujah!
Today’s Rhema
Let Christmas be a season where your life reflects the love of God, which already resides in your heart!
Confession for the Day
Love has been shed abroad in my heart. Therefore, wherever I go and whatever I do—both now, during this Christmas season, and beyond—my life will always reflect the love of Christ. Through me, many shall come to know and experience the love of Christ. Hallelujah!
