Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. —Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)
Over time, I have seen people who today are full of faith and burning for the Lord, yet tomorrow are speaking against the very faith they once embraced. Online, you’ll find countless videos of people who were once Christians but later abandoned the faith. Why? Because all the while they professed Christ, they never developed their convictions.
Beloved, one thing is to be in Christ and go to church every week; another is to be fully persuaded that your decision to follow Him was the right one. Don’t believe in Christ merely because someone told you to. Believe because you truly understand His mission on earth, His sacrifice, and what He accomplished for you on the Cross of Calvary.
John the Apostle had deep personal conviction, and he testified:
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. —1 John 1:1–3 (NKJV)
Did you see that? The early apostles spoke and operated from a place of deep, unshakable conviction—and so should you.
Therefore, I encourage you to spend time nurturing your conviction. When you are firmly persuaded of your walk with God and of the work you do in His house, nothing anyone says will shake you. You’ll be convinced beyond measure. Refuse to be swayed by everything you read or hear online. Instead, study God’s Word, let the Holy Ghost teach you truth, and hold fast to it.
Joshua also walked with God and experienced Him firsthand. That’s why, when admonishing the Israelites on the importance of serving the Lord, he declared:
But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. —Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)
What about you? Will you serve the Lord no matter what you hear or face in life? Be convinced. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day
No matter the lies the devil tries to bring my way, I refuse to give in because I know the truth. I will continue to build my life on this truth I have come to know about Jesus and His finished works. As I build on this truth, my testimonies are multiplying and my life is moving from glory to glory in Jesus’ name. Amen!
