being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; —Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

As you grow in your walk with God, you must develop a personal conviction toward Him and His Word. At some point, you will need that conviction to remain steadfast, especially when facing opposition. So, what is your personal conviction? Are you truly convinced of God’s promises for you?

Are you convinced you are on the right path and that the things you do for the Lord are right? You must have genuine answers to these questions because the devil will try to mess with your belief system. He will test what you have come to know over the years. Your conviction is the only thing that will help you shut out the doubts he projects to undermine your faith.

For example, the devil may whisper that your prayers or your service in the house of the Lord are a waste of time. He might even try to make you believe that going to church is pointless. When you have developed a strong conviction in Christ, however, those lies will not affect you because you know better.

Sadly, many people have fallen for these deceptions, which is why some believers no longer attend church or serve. I recently saw a video of a young man advising people to spend less time in church because it doesn’t build them economically. This might sound like wise counsel, but it is a lie from the enemy that he has believed and is now spreading to others.

Beloved, every moment you spend in the house of the Lord is never a waste. Whatever you do there, from giving to serving, is valuable. God is the one who establishes people spiritually, financially, economically, and in every other way. He knows exactly how to bless and establish you for life.

The question is, are you convinced of your walk with Him? Is your heart in what you are doing? If you are aligned in these areas, God will lift you up. As the Bible says:

He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap, That He may seat him with princes— With the princes of His people. He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children… —Psalm 113:7-9 (NKJV)

Did you see that? God can do anything you desire, but you must be convinced about your walk with Him. Therefore, spend time developing your conviction. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

If you can develop your conviction, God can do anything you desire!

Confession for the Day

Against all odds, I am convinced of who God is, who I am, and Whose I am. I refuse to cower in the face of adversity or be moved by information circulated on the internet. I am moved only by the Word of God. As I yield to His Word, I yield to the truth, and I decree that I am making progress and prevailing in all things, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
