Padua - Paint of the Resurrection of Lazarus scene

“…now when he had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”. And he who died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “lose him, and let him go…” John 11:43-44 (NKJV)

Years ago, something happened in the scriptures that we can actually learn from. The Bible tells us that Lazarus died and he was buried. But on the fourth day, Jesus Christ came and asked them to show Him where Lazarus was buried. When they opened the place and showed Him, He cried out with a loud voice and called out Lazarus, who eventually came back to life and was restored (Scripture Reference: John 11:1-44). Now, what I want you to take note of here is that Jesus wasn’t scared that he wouldn’t come out, rather He called him out with authority and Lazarus responded, why? Because Jesus is a life-giving spirit and so are we. The Bible says, “…the first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit… as was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly…”1 Corinthians 15:45,46-48 (NKJV). Did you see that?

If Jesus, the heavenly man is a life-giving spirit, it also means that those of us who have accepted and received Him into our lives as the Lord of our lives are also life-giving spirits as well, for the Bible says, “…as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly…”1 Corinthians 15:48. Therefore, our responsibility now is to make sure nothing dies in our lives. It is important to know that as life givers, we have the right and authority to speak life to anything that concerns us that is packing up. We have the authority of Christ Jesus to call forth anything that represents Lazarus in our lives, and it will respond. So, I admonish you today, not to keep quiet. Learn to speak life to any area of your life where the spirit of death is trying to take advantage of and do it with confidence because in the long run, it will definitely respond. If it is your body that is trying to pack up, or your job or your business, do not hesitate to speak life to it and it will surely respond. Of course, it may not immediately respond, but it will eventually respond. Halleluiah!

Today’s Rhema

If you make use of your authority in Christ and speak life to any area of your life, it will surely respond!

Confession for the Day

All-powerful and Heavenly Father, I thank you for making me a life-giving spirit through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. I decree henceforth, I will continually take advantage of this grace and nothing around me will pack up again in Jesus name. Amen!
