O Lord God, You have begun to show Your servant Your greatness and Your strong hand; for what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do such works and mighty acts as Yours?
Deuteronomy 3:24 (NKJV)
As far as life is concerned, all kinds of circumstances will always come up, but one thing you must learn to do is trust God and God alone. Indeed, you can sometimes be tempted to put your trust in man, but you must discipline yourself to look to God and not man because He knows how to show up for you better than man. Sadly, the challenge today is that many do not depend on God alone. Instead, they put their trust in the systems of the world and men, and at the end of the day, they get disappointed. Beloved, if you do not want any disappointments in life, I encourage you to cling to God and depend on Him alone and watch Him do what He knows best to do. I know that this is sometimes difficult, but there are some situations and circumstances that remind you that some jobs are not for men, but for God. When you realize this, all you need to do is cling to Him, because He alone has the solution.
Sometimes, comfort and prosperity can make you feel that you do not need God for anything, but the truth remains that you need God in both good and bad times. It is always better to know God and call on Him when your life is smooth, so that when it is time for the testing of your faith, you will be able to persevere and wait for Him to come into the scene and change the game for you. But if you are used to depending on money, you will surely be disappointed. Understand that money cannot change all situations. There are situations beyond money and connections. We see such situations in the days of King David when his son Absalom decided to steal the throne from his father. He made himself king while David was still alive. The Bible records, Then Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpet, then you shall say, ‘Absalom reigns in Hebron!’”
2 Samuel 15:10 (NKJV).
At that time, King David had no one else to save him but God. When he prayed, God saved him from the plans of Absalom. Today, God is waiting for you to completely depend on Him to save you and no one else. If you set your faith on Him for that difficulty you have been going through, He will surely come through in your life because He alone knows how best to give you a solution. Remember, no one else but God can get the job done. Praise God!
