“…when one of them saw that he was healed, he came back, praising God in a loud voice.” – Luke 17:15 (GNT)
As you read this, take a moment to reflect on your life. What do you see? Are you aware of the goodness and faithfulness of God, or are you consumed by the negative situations you may be facing? It’s an important question because what you choose to see determines how you respond to God.
Many of God’s people overlook the blessings He has poured into their lives. Instead of acknowledging His faithfulness, they focus on what seems lacking or unanswered, sometimes blaming God or questioning His love. Some even walk away from their relationship with Him because they feel He hasn’t done enough. But the truth is, God has done more for us than we can ever comprehend. Often, the issue isn’t that God hasn’t moved in our lives—it’s that we fail to see it.
Beloved, this is not how God wants us to live. Regardless of the challenges you may be facing, remember that God has already done incredible things in your life. If you focus on His goodness and give thanks, you’ll find renewed strength and grace to overcome any situation.
Choose today to recognize what God has done for you and express genuine gratitude. Be like the man in Luke 17:15 who, upon realizing he had been healed, turned back to Jesus and loudly praised God. Gratitude changes everything—it keeps us connected to God and unlocks the grace needed to face life’s difficulties.
