“…take words with you…” Hosea 14:2 (NKJV)

When faced with certain challenges in life, the general response of so many people would be to cry, become sad and complain to everyone that comes around. But I discovered that all that, does not solve the problem, it only makes matters worse. And that is just how the devil wants it. However, if we would change our approach, we will change our situation. The question is, how do we do this? It is simple, go back to the scriptures to search out what God has said concerning that situation. There is a scripture for every situation that we face in life. From our marriage to our jobs, from our business to family matters, there is a scripture in the Bible that will help you to address the situations you may face in any of these areas, the only thing is you have to be disciplined enough to search the scriptures and look for the one that concerns your situation and use it to address that situation in prayers. When you use the scriptures committedly with revelation both in prayers and confessions, you will certainly prevail in whatever situation you find yourself in.

You might say but just like that? Oh yes, just like that, because there is power in confessing the promises of God in the scriptures and using them as our defense in prayers. Someone might say but I have been confessing the word now for a while and nothing much has changed in my situation. Well, the reason why such an experience takes place in the lives of God’s people is that, they have not come to understand the revelation behind using God’s word in times of difficulty. However, you must understand that, when issues come up in the life of a man, one assignment that situation came to fulfill in the life of that man, is to discredit the faithfulness of God and make God a liar. But you and I know that God cannot lie, for it is written, “…let God be true but  every man a liar…” Romans 3:4 (NKJV). Therefore, when you hold on to what God has said concerning you in the scriptures, you are holding on to truth, and trust me, when you begin to use that truth in prayer and confession, the situation will not be able to stand because that situation is a lie and God’s word is the truth. So, the next time you are using the scriptures in prayer, I want you to remember that you are holding on to the truth and the truth will always prevail. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

If you can secure one scripture that speaks about the situation you are going through and use it committedly in prayers, you will surely prevail!

Confession for the Day

The grace and wisdom to look for the right scriptures that address my situation is at work in me, therefore I declare that I will not give in to the lies of my situation but I will use God’s word and prevail over that situation in the name of Jesus. Amen!
