For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes… —Romans 1:16 (NKJV)

We live in what the Bible calls the “evil days” (Ephesians 6:13)—desperate times when things are increasingly difficult financially, morally, and otherwise. Crime rates and wickedness are on the rise, which is enough to make anyone break under the pressure and live in fear. As a child of God, however, you can respond differently because we have a powerful tool: the Word of God.

No matter what you face, it is vital to return to God’s Word. There, you will find the strength, encouragement, and solutions needed to overcome any difficult moment. I rejoice that God’s Word has already addressed every situation we could ever face, and the best way to handle them is to return to it for direction.

Unfortunately, not many truly believe this; they prefer to look for solutions in the world. But as I often say, the world does not contain the resources to solve the problems it creates. Therefore, it is better to go to the source through which the world was made: the Word of God. The Bible declares, “…by faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God…” (Hebrews 11:3, NKJV). This means that to solve the problems you face, you must use the very material that created the world.

So, I encourage you today: return to the Word of God for solutions. Do not give up on it, as is the habit of some. Stop running from pillar to post looking for answers you won’t find elsewhere. Let God’s Word be your stronghold, your place of solace, and your ultimate solution.

Give your full attention to what it says and apply the knowledge you gain. Yield yourself to its counsel; let it comfort, encourage, and keep you going. If you delight yourself in the Word, it will give you all that you desire. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

The problems in this world can only be solved by the material used in creating the world, so look to God’s Word for solutions!

Confession for the Day

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for refreshing my life with Your Word. I thank you for reassuring me that a solution can be found in it. Therefore, I declare that Your Word will be my stronghold and source of encouragement, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
