Hands High, Heart abandoned

“…I was glad when they said to me, “let us go into the house of the Lord”….” Psalm 122:1 (NKJV)

A man I admire so much in the scriptures, is King David. He was a man so passionate about God and everything that concerns God. In one of the songs he wrote in the scriptures, he said, “…I was glad when they said to me, “let us go into the house of the Lord”….” Psalm 122:1 (NKJV) He was also the one who woke up one day and said to Nathan the prophet, “…see now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells inside tent curtains…” 2 Samuel 7:2 (NKJV). You could see how much he cared about the house of the Lord. Do you have this much care or regard for the house of the Lord today?

This is one question you must ask yourself. When you come to that place where you are being forced to come to church or participate in the things that are being done in church, then your love for God and regard for the things that concern Him is less to nothing. Hence, I encourage you to reprogram your mind in this area. Every time you don’t see any reason to come to the house of the Lord, it only means that your love for God is not yet established. Sometimes, some people say, the fact that I don’t come to church does not mean that I don’t love God. I do love God and He knows, He sees my heart, so don’t judge me. Well, I don’t know what your idea of love looks like, but if you truly love God then prove it with your actions. If you truly love someone, you will always want to be around that person, to know the person more. So beloved, if you truly love God, prove it by creating time out of your busy schedule to be present in His house and not only so, serve in His house and flaunt your love for Him, He is worthy of it. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you truly love the Lord, prove it in your commitment to coming to church!

Confession for the Day

Dear heavenly father, I thank you for helping me understand what true love is, I thank you for making me know what to do to prove my love for you. Therefore, I declare that as I carry on with my busy schedule, time for you and your house will always be chalked out in the name of Jesus. Amen!
