‭‭“…therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you…”James 4:7( NKJV)

In the first part of the article, we established the importance of resisting in whatever situation you find yourself in. Now, we will talk about how you can resist that situation and command a change.

The first step is to make a decision to resist that situation. Your decision determines whether you will fight back and reclaim your victory or not. If you do not decide, you will be oppressed and depressed.

The second step is that you must push yourself in prayer. This is the recommendation God has given to us when we face challenges. Instead of complaining, why not take that time and pray? The Bible says, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray…” James 5:13 (NKJV). As simple as this might be, it can go a long way towards overturning the situation you have found yourself in.

The third step is that you must not change your confession. You must choose to keep your confession in alignment with God’s plan for your life. Every time you complain, you move out of alignment. Therefore, maintain the right confession no matter what you face or go through. Declare your victory and not your defeat, declare your lifting and not your downfall. Remember, the Bible says, ‭‭”…you will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways…” Job 22:28 (NKJV) Finally, be thankful to God no matter the situation. It is true, that your circumstances may not warrant such but go ahead and thank God for it is written, ‭‭“…in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you…” 1 Thessalonian 5:18 (NKJV). When you are truly grateful to God for helping you thus far, you are resisting that situation and it will surely cave in. So, I encourage you today to resist that situation and not allow it to resist you and bind you. Hallelujah!
