Refuse to Be Enslaved by Fear

“….for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind…”2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

One of the ways the devil makes God’s people inactive in life today is to put fear in their heart and cause them to live in fear. So when they begin to live in fear, they become vulnerable to the attacks of the devil and in most cases, the devil takes advantage of their fear and destroys their lives but you see this is not God’s plan for your life. It is important for you to know that this is part of the reason Jesus Christ came to pay the ultimate price, so that we will no longer live our lives at the mercy of the devil but through the mercy of God. When Jesus Christ died on the cross of Calvary and went to hell, the Bible declares that He took from the devil, the keys to hell and death (Revelations 1:18) rendering Him powerless and when He was raised back to life and ascended, He gave us the spirit of power, love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) to help us live in total victory and live free of the manipulations of the devil. So today, the devil has no power over you. All he does these days is to try to stir up things that will bring fear but God is saying to you today “don’t fall for his tricks” No matter how he tries, remain calm and stand your ground.

Understand that fear is the devil’s tool to incapacitate you and deprive you of the beautiful life that God has called you to live. Therefore, you must not give in to it, rather hold on to God’s word very seriously and stake your life on his promises. For it is through these practices, you will defeat fear. Refuse to allow the devil, minister to you his lies. He might come to you and say you will not live long, don’t believe it, only believe what God has said (with long life I will satisfy you) Psalm 91:16. He might say you will never succeed in life, don’t believe him, only believe what God has said (I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in Him, bears much fruit) John 15:5. Whatever, he tries to put in your mind; there is a word to counter it from the scriptures. So I encourage you to take advantage of God’s word today and live in absolute boldness. Fear is of the devil and if you give in to it, you have handed your life over to him but if you resist him and choose to put your faith in God and His words, then you have chosen not only to reign in life but also to reign over the devil. So refuse to be subject to the one whom God has called you to rule over. Always remember Jesus Christ, is the head of all principalities and powers and you are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10 NKJV). Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

Refuse to be subject to the one whom God has called you to rule over!

Confession for the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the love you showed to me through the finished works of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the authority you have given to me in Christ Jesus and I am grateful. I declare that henceforth, I take advantage of the finished works of Jesus Christ and I go out there to live in boldness and live above fear in the name of Jesus. Amen!
