“Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.”Proverbs 19:21 (AMPC)

As you walk with God, you must learn to prioritize His purpose for your life. No matter how good your plans may seem, it is God’s purpose that will ultimately prevail. The Bible says, “Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.” Did you see that? This makes it clear that while you may plan all you want, at the end of the day, it is God’s purpose that endures. So, as you go about your activities this year, make it a priority to align with God’s purpose for your life.

You might ask, “How do I know God’s purpose for my life?” It’s simple—ask Him. If you want to get married, ask God to reveal His purpose for you in that area. If you’re considering a job, starting a business, or relocating, seek God in prayer and ask Him to make His purpose clear to you. As simple as this may sound, it can save you from many unnecessary struggles if you do it diligently.

Make a conscious decision today to prioritize God’s purpose above all else. Until you receive clarity on His will for any situation, do not rush into action. The men and women of old who walked faithfully with God practiced this principle, and they saw remarkable results. You can too. Hallelujah!
