Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 3:13-14 (NKJV)
Have you done all you know how to do, yet still, nothing seems to be working out? Have you faced opposition in the past and decided to quit the race? Beloved, cheer up; there is still hope. Life can be tough, but that is not a good enough reason to quit.
If you would hold on a little longer and press on, things will certainly get better. As the Apostle Paul said, “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14, NKJV). You must understand that the only way to win is to press on. Set your focus on where you are going, not where you are now, and you will break every limitation.
In the past, many have allowed the devil to stop them in their tracks. They reached a certain point, decided they couldn’t go on any longer, and quit the race. They didn’t realize that this was the devil’s plan all along. He wanted them to become frustrated so they would quit and not fulfill their destiny.
But you, child of God, must be smarter than this. No matter how the devil tries to get you to quit, refuse to give in to his deceits. Remember, if you quit, you are the one who loses, not the devil. You will miss out on God’s plan and your destiny.
Refuse to allow that to happen. If Jesus Christ did not quit or give in to temptation in the wilderness, why should you? Be the man or woman God wants you to be and hang on. You might be resisted, but don’t give in; persist so that you can come out victorious.
Hold on to your dreams and, like the Apostle Paul, press toward the goal God has laid in your heart. Let nothing stop you, for you will surely emerge a victor. Praise God!
Today’s Rhema
As long as you keep pressing on, you will surely win!
Confession for the Day
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for strengthening me with Your Word today. I am fired up and challenged for greater things. I refuse to give up, give in to the devil’s temptations, or throw my dreams away. I know that my dreams are becoming a reality, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
