“…But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth….”Acts 1:8 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk, opportunities for the preaching of the Gospel will always be there, but the question is when it comes, will you recognize it? Will you take advantage of it or will you let it slide? Usually what many of God’s people will do, is that they will let it slide because when such opportunities present themselves they do not recognize it as an opportunity. However, this shouldn’t be the case, because you have been saved for this purpose.

As believers, we are not just saved to remain dormant. We are saved to save others. The Bible says “….now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation….” II Corinthians 5:18 (NKJV). This scripture here, lets us know that we have received the ministry of reconciliation. So, you have a responsibility to preach to others when the opportunity comes. Sometimes, these opportunities could just be your family members, friends or even strangers. But whatever happens, when the opportunity comes seize the opportunity and do the needful. You might, but what if I am scared or nervous to speak? Well, do not be nervous because you have been given the grace to make that happen. And not only so, you have the Holy Spirit in you and He came to make you bold and put words in mouth, when opportunities like this come. So, lean on the Holy Spirit for this and He will guide you properly to make good of such opportunities. Praise God!

You were saved to save others, refuse to be dormant!

Confession for the Day

Glorious and everliving Father, I thank you for this wonderful counsel. I decree this day that the grace to recognize soul winning opportunities is at work in me and as I take advantage of these opportunities, my efforts are bearing fruits in the name of Jesus. Amen!
