“…could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation…” —Matthew 26:40-41 (NKJV)

Having spoken on the importance of praying for an hour, it is important to understand that a lot can happen or be averted in a one-hour prayer. If you devote yourself to engaging in such prayer discipline, you could open certain doors that you never thought could be opened and shut down the attacks of the devil in your life. The possibilities are endless. But you see, you must make a conscious decision to take advantage of this truth and put it to work in your life.

An hour of prayer can bring a solution to a difficult situation, if done sincerely. There are times when things may not be going the way they should; do not despair. Maybe there are things happening in your life that you do not understand; try giving it an hour of prayer.

I have been taking advantage of this principle for some time now and it has worked for me time and again. Prayer generally is very impactful, but when you are able to stay in the presence of God for one hour or more speaking to Him, there is no telling what can be sorted out supernaturally. So cultivate this habit today and watch your life move from glory to glory. You might say, “what if I try it and it doesn’t work?” Well, if you do it sincerely and continuously in faith, you will surely get the desired results because you are speaking to the living God who knows how to reward those that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Today’s Rhema

A one-hour prayer can solve the most difficult situation in this world, if done sincerely in faith!

Confession for the Day

Father in the Name of Jesus, Your Word is food for my spirit; I thank you for blessing me with your Word. I declare that as I put this new understanding into practice by the power of your Spirit, I excel in all things and triumph over any situation that comes my way in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
