praying hands over a holy bible

“…what! Could you not watch with Me for one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation…” —Matthew 26:40 (NKJV)

In the first part of this article, we took time to outline the importance of praying early. Beloved, if you subscribe to this principle of praying early, you will be amazed at the various things you will address in your life ahead of time. The challenge today is that too many believers don’t pray early, and quite a large number of them don’t pray at all and yet they want to see things take shape in their lives, which isn’t possible because when prayers are not offered, heaven cannot do anything for you. The Bible says, “…whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven..” Matthew 18:18 (NKJV) meaning that if earth does not authorize heaven, then there is nothing heaven can do.

Sadly, some people have gotten used to praying when things have gone bad. All the while that things were okay, they didn’t bother to pray, but now that things have gone sour, that is when they now decide to start praying. And when they don’t see results, they are furious because they didn’t get results. It is unknown to them that they are the cause of it. When you wait until there is a problem before you start praying, chances are that you will certainly be frustrated, but if you start praying way before anything. Those situations will be arrested before they surface, and even if they do, they will not be as dangerous as it is supposed to be. Don’t be like the young man who knew he has an exam to write but chose to wait until two days before the exam to start preparing for the exam. When you delay your prayers, you delay your blessings and prolong your challenges. But when you pray early, you hasten your miracles. So what would you do about this? Make a conscious decision to pray, and pray early. God bless you!

Today’s Rhema

When you delay your prayers, you delay your blessings and prolong your challenges, but when you pray on time, you speed up things and hasten your deliverance!

Confession for the Day

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for reminding me of the importance of praying early to avoid temptation. I declare today that the spirit of supplication takes hold of me, and I will pray without ceasing or season in the name of Jesus!
