“…For a long time, the judge refused to act, but at last he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or respect people, yet because of all the trouble this widow is giving me, I will see to it that she gets her rights. If I don’t, she will keep on coming and finally wear me out!’” (Luke 18:4-5 GNT)

Do you have a miracle for which you are trusting God? Are there situations in your life that require God’s intervention? Persist in prayers, and you will surely receive that miracle.

The story in our opening text is about a widow who persistently approached a judge, seeking justice. At first, the judge refused to listen to her. But because she didn’t give up and kept returning to plead her case, he eventually gave in, saying, “Even though I don’t fear God or respect people, yet because of all the trouble this widow is giving me, I will see to it that she gets her rights. If I don’t, she will keep on coming and finally wear me out!” (Luke 18:4-5 GNT). Did you see that?

This teaches us that persistence on a particular matter will eventually yield results. I know that some challenges may seem impossible and intimidating, but, trust me, they will always bow to persistence.

The question is, have you been persistent in prayers concerning that healing, job or breakthrough that you desire? If you haven’t, it is time to give it a shot. Remember, until you become deliberate about this, nothing significant will take place in that situation. Initially, it might feel like your prayers aren’t making a difference, but as you continue and persist, that situation will undoubtedly give way.

Today’s Rhema

As long as you will persist in prayers, that situation will surely cave in!

Confession for the Day

Today my eyes are opened to the truth of God’s word. Therefore, I receive grace to persist and travail in prayers till I receive the solutions I am looking for, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
