“Abraham was patient, and so he received what God had promised.” Hebrews 6:15 (GNT)
Beloved, do you want to see God’s promises and blessings manifest in your life? It is possible, but you have a responsibility to see it happen. As a believer, you must understand that God has no issue fulfilling His promises. In fact, He desires it for you even more than you do. The Bible says, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32 (NKJV). Did you see that? This shows that God wants you to be blessed and to see His promises fulfilled in your life. However, one key ingredient is required: Patience.
Apart from believing and proclaiming God’s promises, you must cultivate patience. Patience is essential for seeing God’s promises come to pass. In our opening text, the Bible says, “Abraham was patient, and so he received what God had promised.” Hebrews 6:15 (GNT). Even Abraham, the father of faith, had to be patient to see God’s blessings manifest in his life. His blessings were not instant; they unfolded progressively. Yet, he remained patient and trusted in God’s timing.
If you want to experience the same, you must decide to believe in the blessing, confess it, put in the necessary work, and patiently wait for its manifestation. If you fail to do this, impatience may drive you to engage in questionable practices in an attempt to achieve success quickly. Instead, take a cue from the Scriptures and “let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:4 (NKJV). Hallelujah!
