“…from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force…” Matthew 11:12 (NKJV)
In our journey through life as Christians, it is important to understand that life will not give you what you deserve but what you demand. Therefore, you have to be proactive and radical in reaching out for the things you want to achieve in your life. Refuse to be calm about it because the devil will stop at nothing to ensure that he deprives you of what rightfully belongs to you. He does not want you to succeed or to make progress. His agenda is to frustrate God’s people but your responsibility is to make sure you do not give him that chance in your life. It is your responsibility to stand up for what truly belongs to you and lay hold of it without looking back. Don’t sit back and say I am waiting for God to do something, you must remember that God is also waiting for you to do something. He needs you to work with you. Therefore, fashion your mind in this pattern and aggressively go for your dreams.
In the process, you might encounter some delays, disappointment and hurdles but in all, refuse to be discouraged or give up. Rather hold your ground and keep acting out your faith. Set your gaze on Jesus and let Him be the source of your strength and zeal. Refuse to be tempted to think thoughts of defeat or change your confession. Maintain an unflinching commitment towards God’s word and “…put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places…” Ephesians 6:11-12 (NKJV). When you hold your ground like this, it is not possible to be defeated, you will be the one to come out victoriously. So take what belongs to you by force and stop waiting for it to come to you on a platter of gold. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day
I release my faith today and I lay hold of that which belongs to be. I enforce the will of God for my life and I refuse to cower in the face of adversity or to lose hope because I know that lines are falling unto me in pleasant places in the name of Jesus. Amen!
