“…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father…”- Philippians 2:9 (NKJV)

Using the name of Jesus is of utmost importance for us as Christians today but I discovered that we must also learn to go beyond using the name in times of difficulties to standing in the name of Jesus. The reason is because history has proved it that there are some very difficult situations that sometimes stubbornly attach themselves to us and if we are not standing In the name of Jesus, we might be tempted to give in to the pressure that the challenge brings. Whether we believe it or not, every challenge comes with its own pressures and difficulties. It takes a man standing in the name of Jesus to remain standing no matter what he sees or goes through in the course of the challenges. This is why you must make a conscious decision to stand in the name of Jesus.

When you are standing in the name of Jesus, it doesn’t matter the pressure that comes at you. It doesn’t matter the severity of the circumstances that you must have found yourself, you will not be moved because you are standing on solid rock. No wonder the Bible says, “…The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe…” Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV). Did you see that? So, make a conscious decision to always stand in the name of Jesus in difficult times. When you do this, it becomes your anchor  and no matter how boisterous the wind may be, you will still be hanging on and not be blown away by the wind. Hallelujah!

TODAY’S RHEMA

As long as you are standing in the name of Jesus, it doesn’t matter how boisterous the wind may be, you will still be hanging on!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Thank you Lord, for opening my eyes to this wonderful truth. I choose this day to stand in the name of Jesus no matter the situation or circumstances. And as I do this, I am prevailing over every difficult situation in my life and coming out victoriously because I am a victor in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
