“…Jesus stood up and commanded the wind, “Be quiet!” and he said to the waves, “Be still!” The wind died down, and there was a great calm. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Why are you frightened? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4:39‭-‬40 (GNT)

One time, our Lord Jesus Christ was traveling with His disciples on a boat when suddenly there arose a great storm and their boat began to fill up with water. This brought fear to the disciples, and they went to meet our Lord Jesus Christ saying, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are about to die?” Mark 4:38 (GNT). And …Jesus stood up and commanded the wind, “Be quiet!” and he said to the waves, “Be still!” The wind died down, and there was a great calm…” Mark 4:39

Now, after He rebuked the wind, He asked them a very profound question saying, “Why are you frightened? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4:39‭-‬40 (GNT). He had to ask this question because He was surprised at the way they became frantic. His expectation of them was that they shouldn’t have been scared and that is exactly the same expectation He has of us today. Beloved, you must understand that no matter what you face or go through, you should never become scared or slip into panic mode. You must make a conscious decision to always maintain your faith because that is the key to coming out victoriously. Praise God! So, no matter what you may be facing now, it is important that you maintain your ground in faith and there will be a turnaround in no time.

TODAY’S RHEMA

No matter the odds, if you can stand your ground in faith, you will surely prevail!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Glorious and ever living Father, I thank you for reminding me of the need to maintain my faith in difficult seasons. I choose this day to do that and as I stand my ground in faith, I am prevailing against every negative circumstance in Jesus’ name. Amen!
