“….for we walk by faith, not by sight…”II Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

As we journey through the new year, one thing you must do for yourself is to walk by faith and not by sight, feelings or emotions. Believe me, you will encounter several situations that would tend to push you to respond by your senses. They will bring fear into your heart, put you under pressure and probably make you nervous but you have to make a conscious decision not to give in. I know the temptation to give in may be high, but don’t, because it will not change anything. The only thing that will bring the desired change and victory is when you switch to the realm of faith and function from there. If you are able to do this even in the midst of all the ulgy circumstances surrounding you, you will always emerge a victor.

So, I urge you to move by faith this year and not by emotion. Now, I must say that, if you will truly walk by faith, you have to be disciplined about it. Meaning, it won’t happen of its own accord, you have to fight the battle of being focused on God and His word irrespective of the situation you find yourself in. Even when things are going in the wrong direction, you are still able to believe it will end up in your favour. Papa Abraham had this kind of discipline and the Bible recorded that against hope, he believed in hope (Romans 4:18) and “….not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform…”Romans 4:19‭-‬21 (NKJV). Did you see that? So, move by faith this year and refuse to allow your emotions take the lead. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you will decide to move by faith and not by emotions, the whole world will be at your feet!

Confession for the Day

Glorious and ever living Father, I am grateful for the reality of your word. This year, I choose to move by faith and not by sight and I decree that as I do that, my victories are multiplying in the name of Jesus. Amen!
