“love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud…” 1 Corinthians 13:4 (GNT)

Do you walk in love? If yes, how patient are you with others?  This question might sound strange at first, but think about it for a while. Consider your relationships with others, especially when they offend you. Do you always flare up and want to get physical with them? Do you always feel the urge to tell them exactly what you think? Well, if your answer is yes, then you might not be truly walking in love. As our opening text shows, love is patient with others.

Therefore, the number one proof that shows you are walking in love is your patience with others. Years ago, when God started teaching me about love, the first thing He taught me was that I need to be patient with others. Interestingly, at that time, people were constantly getting on my nerves. I was always tempted to react, but God would remind me that reacting is not the way of love. This reminder went a long way in helping me develop in my walk of love.

So beloved, if you are truly going to walk in love with others, you must learn to be patient no matter the offense. The devil will try to make you think otherwise but don’t give in to it. Remember, patience is the proof that we are walking in love. That’s why our opening text says “….love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud…” (1 Corinthians 13:4 GNT). Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

The proof that you are walking in love for others is patience!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth, I choose today to be patient with others and as I do this, I am growing in my love walk in Jesus name. Amen!
