…looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith… —Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)
The year is still in its early stages, and the best way to ensure a glorious experience is to fix your gaze on Jesus from the very beginning. Don’t wait until the year has almost run out before you start looking to Him; seek Him now for the achievement of all your goals and desires. The Bible records that He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith. As a Christian, you must wake up to the truth that Jesus is your source, and without Him, nothing can be achieved.
This might sound ridiculous to some because many people who don’t know Jesus appear to be doing well. However, the truth remains that their success is only for a moment. In the long run, it will phase out. The only guarantee of long-term success, both in this world and in the world to come, is Jesus. This is why you must develop a mindset of fixing your focus on Him alone.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus declared that He is the door, and anyone who enters through Him will be saved and find pasture. This wasn’t just a suggestion; He meant exactly what He said. He later emphasized this by explaining that we must abide in Him to bear fruit, just as a branch must stay connected to the vine.
…I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. —John 10:9 (NKJV)
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. —John 15:4 (NKJV)
These scriptures confirm that Jesus is truly the author and finisher of our faith. Without a doubt, He is everything we need to live victoriously this year. Therefore, be smart enough to stake your life on Jesus and His Word, and watch your life move from glory to glory.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for flooding the eyes of my understanding with light. I thank You because, with these words, I will run with a definite purpose and nothing shall by any means stop me. I have chosen to set Jesus as my source and my life. Hallelujah!
