…so now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified…” Acts 20:32 (NKJV)

Now that we have established the importance of living with confidence in God’s word, someone might say, but if truly the word works, how come many Christians are still suffering and going through a lot of struggles in their lives? Well, the challenge a lot of times is wrong application of the word which comes from a lack of understanding of the dictates of the word of God. Most people quote the scriptures quite alright, but they have not meditated long enough on the scripture to receive an in depth understanding of what it talks about. However, to escape being like every other person out there who is not getting results from the word, you have to give the word the required attention, so that you can understand in full detail what the word talks about and what it requires of you.

When you understand it and apply it the way it ought to be, you will certainly begin to see results because truly the word works. So as you continue in your walk with God, endeavor to put your confidence in His word. When God promised Abraham a child, the Bible recorded that, “…he did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform…” Romans 4:20 (NKJV). Did you see that? Abraham had confidence in the word and he believed the word, therefore, the results that followed were outstanding. You too can have outstanding results but you need to believe in the word and put your confidence in it. Praise God!
