“…Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus…” Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 (NKJV)

The world we are living in right now is increasingly getting worse and trust me, it is enough to make one worry about what the future holds. When you hear about the attacks happening around the world, the injustice and wickedness going on out there, it’s enough to make one anxious but you see, as a believer it is your responsibility to make sure you live above worries and walk by the Spirit.

Trust me the world is not going to get any better. According to the scriptures, many more horrible things are still going to take place. In fact, our Lord Jesus Christ described it saying, “…you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet….” Matthew 24:6 ( NKJV). From this, you see that there will always be troubling situations around the world. However, in the midst of this, God expects us to hold our grounds and refuse to give in to worry. So, as you journey in your walk with God, I encourage you to live above worry. If at any time you are tempted to go in that direction, you must remember the counsel of in our opening text that says “…be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus…” Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 (NKJV)

Today’s Rhema

Don’t give in to worry, instead walk by the Spirit!

Confession for the Day

Thank you Father, for this wonderful counsel. I choose this day to lean on the comfort of your words and promises. I choose to present any troubling situation before the Lord and as I do, I receive comfort and peace in Jesus name. Amen!
