Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. —Philippians 4:6 (NKJV)
Years ago, as a young believer, I used to worry about many things. I would worry about how my wife would look, where she would come from, and how the marriage would happen. I even went as far as worrying about my life, my future, and almost everything else I could think of.
To be honest, it was exhausting—until I found the scripture in our opening text. Around that same time, I also came across a powerful statement from our Lord Jesus Christ, where He said to His disciples:
“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?” —Luke 12:22–28 (NKJV)
Did you see that?
When I came across this statement, it healed me completely. Since then, I’ve never had to worry about anything again.
Over time, I discovered that all the things I used to worry about had already been carefully mapped out by God. Everything fell into place according to His plan.
Beloved, the same can happen for you—if you’ll simply let go of the wheel of worry and allow God to handle things. All you need to do is pray and trust Him to unfold His plans before your eyes.
He has a perfect plan for you, so stop worrying about your rent, your marriage, or your future. Whatever it is that you’re anxious about has already been accounted for by God. As long as you stay prayerful and trust Him, His plans for your life will play out beautifully. Praise God!

Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for this eye-opening article. I rebuke the spirit of worry and banish it from my life. I choose to continue in prayer and in faith in Your Word and promises. I declare that as I do this, the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding continues to mantle my heart, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
